Terms of Use
These terms apply to whoever adds Bora to a WhatsApp group, takes part in a challenge with it or signs up for the waiting list. By doing any of those, you agree to them. Bora is made and operated by Enzo Junqueira, an individual, in Brazil.
What Bora is
A bot that joins a WhatsApp group, runs challenges (workouts, reading, prayer, studying or whatever the group wants), counts check-ins made with a photo or text tagging @Bora and keeps the leaderboard. At this stage Bora is free. If that ever changes, we will say so first and nobody will be charged without agreeing.
Who can use it
- People 18 or older.
- Whoever adds Bora to a group confirms they have the admins' permission to do so and tells the group the bot is there.
- Each group is responsible for its own rules. Bora applies what the admins set and records everything in the history.
Rules of use
- Use Bora only for what it is for: challenges among people who know each other.
- No spam, harassment, illegal content or anything that breaks WhatsApp's terms.
- Do not try to game the count, overload or break into the service.
- Group admins can adjust, remove or confirm points; those decisions stay in the history and belong to the group, not to Bora.
Points, leaderboard and disputes
Points and the leaderboard are a game among the group's members. Bora gives no prizes and brokers no bets. When there is disagreement, the history (@Bora history) shows every point with its date and reason; what the group decides from there is the group's.
WhatsApp, Garmin and other services
Bora works inside WhatsApp, which belongs to Meta and has its own terms. Bora is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by WhatsApp or Garmin. If WhatsApp changes the rules or blocks the bot's number, the service may stop without notice; we will do our best to come back and preserve the groups' history. The watch connection is optional and depends on Garmin's availability.
Health and responsibility
Bora counts check-ins; it gives no training, health or nutrition advice. Train, run and rest at your own risk, and see a professional when you need one.
No warranties
Bora is offered "as is". We do not guarantee it will be available all the time or never get a count wrong (which is why everything is reversible and stays in the history). To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from the use or the unavailability of the service.
Privacy
What Bora keeps and how to delete it is in the Privacy Policy.
Ending
To stop using it, remove Bora from the group; the challenge is archived and no message is sent. To delete your data, send delete my data to Bora in a direct message. We may also suspend Bora in a group that breaks these terms.
Changes and governing law
These terms may change; the date at the top marks the current version. Brazilian law applies. This English version is a courtesy translation: if it differs from the Portuguese version, the Portuguese one prevails.
